17.09.2023

On September 16, the XIV Festival of Science of the South of Russia was held at the Rostov Arena stadium.

The Science Festival of the South of Russia is already a traditional event for all people who are not indifferent to science, one of the key and large–scale projects of the SFedU.  This year the festival was held under the slogan "Russian Science: past, present, future". The past, present and future of science is a continuous mosaic of intellectual growth and innovative potential of our country. The results of these projects open up new horizons for Russian science and each of us.

Thousands of students, schoolchildren, Rostov residents of different ages gathered at the festival site to get acquainted with the educational, scientific and technical trends of the past, present and future of our country and the South of Russia.

The organizer of the Festival of Sciences – Southern Federal University – together with partners has prepared a large business and exhibition program.

Each guest of the festival can choose for himself any event he likes, and these are master classes, trainings, lectures, round tables and even scientific conferences.

The exhibition is represented by four zones: the advanced engineering school, the advanced school of Natural Sciences, the advanced school of social sciences and Humanities, the advanced school of sports, tourism and creative industries.

During the festival, quizzes, quizzes and contests are held at various venues, the winners of which receive gifts and themed souvenirs.

It is impossible to raise the economy and the system of state activity without science."

Rector of SFedU Inna Shevchenko thanked the university partners, universities of the Southern Federal District and the North Caucasus Federal District, the LPR and the DPR, as well as new territories of our country for their participation and assistance in organizing the festival:

"The scientific achievements that were obtained in the past today determine our technological leadership, the competitiveness of our country. And today's exhibition is dedicated to this. Moreover, it is built in the context of advanced scientific schools: engineering, natural and social sciences, sports, tourism and creative industries, in order to show the children not only the wonderful world of science, but also the professional future that they can build for themselves. For us, the Science Festival is not only a community, a platform for meetings with scientists, with experts, but also a great career guidance work so that our students can make a conscious choice."
