The joint meeting of the editorial board of the international scientific journal JFAA and the management of the mathematical direction of the Springer publishing house was held on the initiative of the head of the direction, Clemens Heine. He spoke about the prospects of Springer's policy in general in the context of the transition to a hybrid type of journals, and also presented confidential statistics on the publication activity of research groups from different regions of the world. According to Clemens Heine, JFAA magazine occupies a strong position among the best projects of the Springer publishing house. The editor-in-chief of the magazine, Hans Feitinger, also presented his vision for the further development of the magazine and the policy of rotation of members of the editorial board, as well as outlined the initiative to create thematic areas. In conclusion, Alexey Karapetyants presented the composition of the newly formed team of editors in the first pilot thematic area "Operator Theory and Harmonic Analysis", and also spoke about the formation of a special issue of the journal dedicated to the anniversary of Professor Stefan Samko.
