The meeting of the Expert Council on the aviation industry under the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship was held at The PJSC Beriev Aircraft Company on February 17, 2020.
The discussion was attended by Vladimir Gutenev, State Duma deputy and the first Deputy Chairman of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia, Yuri Grudinin , the head of the transport aviation division of the United Aircraft Corporation and the general director of The PJSC Ilyushin Aviation Complex, Mikhail Grezin, the managing director of The PJSC Beriev Aircraft Company, Inna Shevchenko, rector of SFedU, Anton Getta, State Duma deputy and the coordinator of the project “For Fair Procurement”, Lyubava Shepeleva, UAC personnel director, Andrei Kovalev, the director of the Engineering Center of SFedU, and representatives of enterprises of the aviation industry and technical universities.
“In the modern world, the new opportunities related to the transformation of the national economy are opening up for us. National projects have accumulated a huge resource - 26 trillion. rubles. Largely, these funds should be spent on domestic products. Including the products that our industry produces or can produce. The aviation complex is showing success. It is transforming from the old paradigm when the aircraft factory produced some mono products into cooperation,” commented Vladimir Gutenev.

In his speech, Yuri Grudinin said: “The development of human resources for us is of fundamental importance - this is the main element in creating new competencies.”
SFedU Rector Inna Shevchenko noted the importance of university-company interaction: “The foundation of scientific and educational centers is based on high-quality human capital, and it is impossible to prepare it without the cooperation of universities with high-tech companies. However, this is not just a statement of our readiness to join in the creation of such structures, it is about specific scientific and technological programs that can create competitive products, conduct fundamentally applied research and train personnel. And in this sense, industrial partners’ order is becoming a very important task. ”

Andrey Kovalev, the director of the SFedU Engineering center, gave the guests a tour of the center. According to him, this is a project center that provides a full range of engineering services for preparing and ensuring the process of production and implementation of innovative products, maintenance and operation of high-tech infrastructure facilities for high-tech industries, reverse engineering, transfer and replication of innovative developments, technologies and structures.

Vladimir Gutenev and Inna Shevchenko also met with 30 young engineers, students and postgraduates of SFedU. During the meeting with young scientists, they discussed the publication of the results of engineering studies, training of foreign citizens and export education, the organization of research and participation in the International Youth Industrial Forum “Engineers of the Future”
