SNILS and INN

It is a requirement for anyone who intends to work in Russia to obtain a social security number (SNILS) and a taxpayer identification number (INN).

SNILS is a social security card. International academics and researchers with an employment or service contract require a social security number to be paid salary and bonuses.

INN or TIN is a taxpayer identification number. International academics and researchers with an employment or service contract should request an individual taxpayer identification number at the tax office.

To get your SNILS and INN, please submit to us the following documents at patapenia@sfeu.ru:

▪ Your residence registration certificate
▪ Notarised copy of your passport (prepared by our International Support Team)
