Getting here
The closest airport to Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog is Platov Airport. Shuttle buses from Platov to Rostov provide easy access to the city centre.

They have several stops in the city, but the main one is the Main train station, providing connections both to the city centre or Zapadnyi (western) District, where the SFedU guesthouse is located. You will need to take a bus or a taxi to get to your accommodation.

Taking a bus from the Tsentralnyi Rynok (Central Market) bust stop, one of the central bus stop locations in Rostov, is also a nice and easy way to reach your destination. If you are arriving in Taganrog, you can take a train from the Rostov Main train station or a bus from the Rostov bus station.

Getting around the campus
The main building of Southern Federal University is located in the heart of Rostov at 105/42 Bolshaya Sadovaya street. It is considered one of the Rostov’s landmark, heritage-listed buildings, known formerly as the house of merchant Kistov. The house was constructed in the early 20th century by the architect G. Vasiliev and is one of the city’s most beautiful and majestic buildings. Rostov-on-Don has a great transport system, making it easy for you to commute to the university. Just be sure to plan a route that works best for you. Located in a spacious green western district, Southern Federal University offers guest halls of residence in close physical proximity to each other. Within walking distance, you will find sports facilities, canteens, libraries, a swimming pool, student clubs and societies.
