Alexey Kolomiytsev, Head of the Department of Nanotechnology and Microsystem Engineering, presented the Southern Federal University at the forum. The Rector of Allame Tabatabai University Dr. Abdollah Motamedi, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Pavel Shevtsov, Deputy Executive Director of the Gorchakov Foundation Victoria Karslieva spoke at the forum. The central event of the forum was the panel discussion "Education in the new conditions of international cooperation", at which a report on promising projects and activities of the SFedU in the field of internationalization was presented. Representatives of Shahid Beheshti University, Amirkabir University, Tehran University, Allame Tabatabai University, Alzahr University, Tehran Medical University, Moddares University took part from the Iranian side, Russian participants were represented by universities: SPbSETU "LETI", SPbSPMU, SUSU (NRU), SamSTU, VyatSU, ChelSU, PIMU, SFedU, UUNiT and public organizations: Institute of Modern State Development, Cultural Center "National Humanitarian Initiative", Association of Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian Countries, The Center for International and Socio-Political Studies "Caspian-Eurasia", the Center for Innovative Diplomacy of BRICS and SCO, the Center for the Study of the States of the Middle East and Central Asia.

The forum resulted in new contacts with representatives of the academic and scientific community of Iran and agreements on participation in joint projects in the fields of science and education.
