15.02.2023

On March 3, students and staff of the Southern Federal University will be able to see a theatrical production based on the works of Vasily Shukshin "Come in once you've come", attend an excursion and a master class from one of the leading actresses of the Gorky Theater.

The first theater season of SFedU will be held within the framework of the university's project "Intellectual Leisure". In the autumn of last year, the Art seasons of the SFedU were already held - a cycle of master classes and lectures in the field of architecture and art. The first theater season will also combine several cultural and leisure activities.

One of them will be the project "Theater with the rector of SFedU". This year the project is already two years old. Each time the event becomes even more ambitious and unites an increasing number of theater art lovers from among the students and employees of the SFedU.

All seats in the auditorium will be provided to students and staff of the Southern Federal University. The theater will be visited by about a thousand people – representatives of all structural divisions of the SFedU.

The Rostov Academic Drama Theater named after M. Gorky has prepared a real gift for the Southern Federal University – an exclusive screening of the play "Come in once" based on the stories "Villagers", "Stepkin's Love", "Microscope", "My son-in-law stole a car of firewood", "Stepka", "Boots" by Vasily Shukshin.

In addition to the theatrical production, the audience will receive a master class from one of the leading actresses of the theater, as well as an exclusive tour dedicated to the history of architecture of the Rostov Drama Theater named after M. Gorky, which will be conducted by Professor of the Department of History of Architecture, Art and Architectural Restoration of the AAI of the SFU Sergey Alekseev.

The rector of SFedU Inna Shevchenko supports the project "Theater with the rector" - a tradition of joint visits to theatrical productions by students and university staff and often takes part in them herself.

According to Inna Konstantinovna, the university is not only an educational and research center, but also a cultural center that is recognized to educate young people. The third mission of the university is precisely to meet the needs of the individual, to preserve and develop moral and cultural traditions.
