On March 12, the distance courses "Starting to learn Russian" for cadets of the Technical Academy of Military Aviation of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela were officially opened on the basis of the International Institute for Interdisciplinary Education and Ibero-American Studies SFedU. The project is being implemented by order of the Russian World Foundation in accordance with the agreement between the Southern Federal University and the Foundation.
The opening ceremony of the course, which was held in an online format, was attended by Senior Assistant to the military, naval and air attache of the Russian Embassy in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Colonel Alexey Ovsyannikov, Brigadier General Jose Gregorio Delgado Martinez, Head of the Technical Academy of Military Aviation of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Colonel Hector Perez Davila, two groups of cadets of the Academy who will be trained in the course program, Director of American programs of the Russian World Foundation Nikolai Mikhailov. The event was attended by Irina Savchenkova, Head of the Department of Russian Language and General Education for Foreign Students of International Institute for Interdisciplinary Education and Ibero-American Studies, and Marina Semikova, Head of the Ibero-American Department of International Institute for Interdisciplinary Education and Ibero-American Studies, Deputy Director of the Spanish-Russian Center for Language and Culture.
During the opening ceremony of the courses, the cadets of the Military Academy met their teachers: Sabina Kerimova, Irina Nechaeva, Anastasia Zubareva, Igor Protsenko, learned about the educational program of the courses, the peculiarity of which is its orientation to intensive training in Russian as a foreign language in the context of current communication situations. The program includes not only a practical speech course, practical grammar, teaching writing, but also lectures on the culture of Russia, the Don region, and the Southern Federal University, which will be delivered to cadets by Associate Professor Igor Protsenko.
Russian language courses for artists: singers, musicians, ballet dancers of the Teresa Carreno Theater (Caracas) will also be held within the framework of the project between the SFedU and the Russian World Foundation. Russian will be taught by 40 representatives of the theater elite of the capital of Venezuela in the International Institute for Interdisciplinary Education and Ibero-American Studies program "Starting to learn Russian" in a remote format on the Microsoft Teams platform.
