Purpose of this educational program

The training program is related to the priority areas of development of science, technology and technology in the Russian Federation (determining the country's defense capability) ; "Basic and critical military and industrial technologies for the creation of promising types of military hardware", "Technologies of information, control, navigation systems", "Transport and space systems".

SFedU is the leading university in Russia in the field of study, research and development of modern radio engineering technologies, systems and devices of microwave and HF equipment, systems and devices of telecommunications. These fields of science and technology largely determine progress in ensuring the country's defense capability. For about 50 years, the scientific school "Applied Electrodynamics and Antennas", known in the country and abroad for its research in these areas, has been established and operating at the Department of Antennas and Radio Transmitting Devices. Since 2002 The department successfully trained engineers in the specialty "Electronic warfare", repeatedly taking 1st place in the rating of the specialty in the Russian Federation. At the department there are the CCP "Applied Electrodynamics and antenna measurements" and the REC "Center for Computer Modeling and Electronic CAD of antennas and microwave devices".

The annual need for graduates of the program only for enterprises of the Radioelectronic Technologies Concern exceeds the number of undergraduates studying under the program. Taking into account the graduates of the master's degree entering postgraduate studies, the "shortage" of masters is increasing. In 2020, the number of applications from research centers, industrial partners and enterprises of Concern Radioelectronic Technologies for graduates of the program exceeded by about 1.5 times the number of graduates.

The forecast of the average salary for graduates (engineer position) in the region (27.5 thousand rubles. in the Russian Federation (48 thousand rubles per month, Moscow region, Rosteh company; 62 thousand rubles per month, Moscow region, Radioelectronic Technologies Concern enterprises); in the world (64 thousand dollars per year, USA).
