High-performance computing and quantum information processing

Master's Degree, Institute of Computer Technology and Information Security

09.04.01 Informatics and Computation

Program length: 2 years

Language of study: Russian

Place of study: Taganrog

Purpose of this educational program:

The purpose of this program is to train professional researchers and practitioners capable of: conducting research, development and operation of problem-oriented multiprocessor and neuroprocessor computing systems and computer networks, their hardware and software components, the architecture of which is based on the technology "System on a chip (SoC)"; develop and explore methods and principles of construction simulators of quantum computers to test the performance of existing and emerging quantum algorithms; to develop and investigate the principles of building quantum computers for their wider application, including for solving artificial intelligence problems; to develop and operate hardware and software complexes for modeling information interaction in multi-agent systems; to competently operate, diagnose modern computing complexes for digital processing and real-time display of information about the environment.

The uniqueness of the program lies in the integration of the focus of undergraduate training on an integrated approach to the development of components, programming and operation of modern and promising high-performance computers, distributed systems, research of quantum information processing systems. A module of variable professional competence has been introduced into the structure of the educational program, clarifying the profile of the educational program within its focus by including variable professional disciplines in the curriculum. In accordance with this provision, the structure of the educational program will include disciplines that allow students to deepen their knowledge in the fields of information technology applications (in the field of information security, creating solutions based on blockchain technology, software testing, system integration of enterprise information systems, etc.).
