Purpose of this educational program

The program is designed to form unique competencies both for young teachers who are just starting their professional path, and for specialists who already have experience in teaching and are faced with the need to work with such a complex category of students as children with autistic disorders. The presented program allows you to gain experience in designing and implementing the educational process for children with ASD in conditions of special education and inclusion. The demand for the program is due to the progressive increase in the number of students with ASD in educational institutions of preschool and general education, as well as the shortage of teaching staff ready to work with this category of children.

  • Undergraduates have the opportunity to supplement their competence profile by mastering online courses on open educational platforms Coursera, SCLAD, Openedu, etc., as well as taking part in project intensive courses at the Southern Federal University and partner universities. During the internship period, undergraduates will get acquainted with the experience of federal and regional resource centers for the organization of comprehensive support for children with autism spectrum disorders, both in the Rostov region and outside the region, as well as take a direct part in the work of federal innovative platforms for working with children with autism spectrum disorders and severe multiple developmental disorders.
  • During the entire period of study, undergraduates are involved in scientific and educational activities of leading universities that accumulate the best practices for working with people with autism spectrum disorders.

                                                                        Prospects. Career & Employment

Graduates of the educational program can work in special and inclusive educational organizations of various levels of education, child development centers, institutions providing psychological, pedagogical and medical and social assistance (including as part of psychological, medical and pedagogical commissions) and services for medical and socio-cultural rehabilitation of persons with disabilities, public organizations, and also, to implement the trajectory of professional development in the conditions of private provision of educational services.

Also, graduates of the educational program can continue their studies at the next level of higher education in the field of training highly qualified personnel 44.06.01 - Education and pedagogical sciences.
