Prospects. Career & Employment

  1. A clinical psychologist is a specialist who is able to carry out educational and practical activities in various institutions: preschool, secondary, secondary vocational and higher education; healthcare institutions, structures of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
  2. A professional trajectory is possible (work in a clinic, rehabilitation center, bureau of medical and social expertise, school, enterprise, private practice, etc.). Its implementation is achieved through the accumulation of professional experience, advanced training.
  3. This is a specialist who is able to carry out diagnostic, expert, rehabilitation, advisory and psychocorrective activities, and therefore the demand for clinical psychologists in the labor market is high. To date, the salary of a clinical psychologist in Moscow is 60-80 thousand rubles a month. In regional budget organizations, it is 3-4 times less, but the insufficient number or absence of private centers providing services of clinical psychologists opens up the opportunity for graduates of this program to engage in private practice. In the future, this may help a clinical psychologist become the head of a specialized center.
