Friends and family are more important than treasures: The Physics Department of SFedU showed a story about Atlantis at the student spring

19.03.2024

On March 15, physics students of the Southern Federal University showed the concert program "Atlantis. The Lost World" as part of the SFedU Student Spring 2024 festival.

Many researchers dreamed of finding the island of Atlandida sunken in the ocean. Only the young cartographer Milo Thatch was lucky. One day, a mysterious diary fell into his hands, pointing the way to the Lost Empire. And now the most powerful submarine in the world, under the control of an eccentric crew, goes out into the open ocean.

During the student spring of the Physics Faculty of the Southern Federal University, Milo and his companions went through many unforgettable adventures: a fight with a sea monster, solving ancient riddles and a riot of the elements. These exciting adventures were presented to the audience in the form of vocal, dance and theatrical performances.

The director of the concert, Anna Zhmaylova, noted that this is exactly the kind of studio that both participants and the audience will want to review over and over again:

"This is my first directorial experience. Thanks to the well-coordinated work of the entire team, the studio turned out to be really interesting and beautiful. At the rehearsals, the guys rallied into a friendly team, which will want to gather more than once not only for rehearsals, but also for spiritual communication. They have turned from strangers into friends, and this is good news," said Anna Zhmaylova.

The moral of the story about the lost world: money and treasures are not the main thing. Happiness can be found only when you find true and faithful friends.

The jury members particularly noted the artistic and lighting design of the concert. The actors who performed the main roles did not remain without attention.

Oleg Kozenko, a physics student, played the charismatic and positive doctor Joshua Gentle, and found himself with many traits similar to the character.

"I met a lot of new people at rehearsals, made interesting acquaintances, and strengthened relationships with guys I didn't know so well. A fabulous atmosphere hovered at all the rehearsals, all according to the Atlantis canon. In the fairy tale about the lost world, the idea is very vividly revealed that human relations, mutual understanding and mutual assistance are much higher than any material values," Oleg Kozenko stressed.

The harmony of the entertainer, the numbers and the musical accompaniment allowed the audience to forget for a while that they were in the auditorium and plunge into the wonderful world of a sunken island ruled by mystical forces and the Atlantean civilization.
