The Smart team from Novocherkassk College of Industrial Technology and Management has qualified for the finals of the Znanie Tournament.A quiz game among schoolchildren and college students. They and 70 other teams of scholars from all over the country and the Republic of Abkhazia met on May 15 in Moscow, at the Rossiya National Center. In total, 20 qualifying games were organized for the participants of the largest intellectual competition.
The regional stage is Knowledge.The game takes place according to the schedule for the federal districts. More than 600 schoolchildren and college students took part in the competition day of the Southern Federal District and New Territories. The winner in each region of the Russian Federation received the right to compete in the intramural final of the Tournament, which took place on May 15, 2026 in Moscow.
The final game turned out to be a real intellectual marathon that lasted over two hours: in 8 rounds, the guys coped with more than 40 questions, every sixth of which was in the format of "What?Where?When?".
They answered questions from science and technology, literature and art, politics and economics; proved that they knew about the history of Russia, its peoples and their customs; recalled great compatriots — from physiologist Pavlov to commander Suvorov.
According to the results of the quiz, the winners of the Tournament were the national team "Heirs of Kant" from the secondary school of Bagrationovsk and Gymnasium No. 40 named after Yuri Gagarin from the Kaliningrad region.

Tournament Knowledge.The game is included in the list of events of the Ministry of Education of Russia, recommended annually for implementation within the framework of the calendar plan of educational work. In addition to the quiz program, the 2025-2026 season continues with the sports tournament "What? Where? When?" under the license of the copyright holder LLC "TV Company "Igra-TV". Teams in two age categories are invited to participate in it:
schoolchildren and students of vocational education (14-18 years old) and university students and working youth (18-25 years old). In the field of quizzes, in addition to the track for schools and colleges, there is also a competition for university students, where teams of up to 5 people can test their logic and erudition in questions from puzzles to charades.
