From July 20 to 22, the International Research Institute of Intelligent Materials of the Southern Federal University is holding an International School for Graduate Students and young scientists in promising areas of operando research using synchrotron radiation sources with the involvement of world-class specialists in the field of synchrotron research - IWSN 2026.
The IWSN 2026 program is aimed at the exchange of experience, development and acquisition of professional knowledge and skills by young scientists in the field of interdisciplinary research using mega-class facilities. This year, special attention will be paid to cutting-edge interdisciplinary research at the intersection of chemistry, physics, materials sciences and artificial intelligence technologies. The school is organized with the aim of attracting the world's leading scientists, graduate students and young researchers to discuss the results of scientific work obtained using mega-class installations.

School participants will be able to present reports on their research topics related to the use of synchrotron technologies, diagnostics of materials in in situ and operando modes, automation of chemical synthesis and processes, and the use of artificial intelligence technologies in data analysis.

The IWSN 2026 program includes lectures by the world's leading scientists in the field of synchrotron research, oral and poster presentations by young researchers, as well as practical workshops led by leading experts.
The school is conducted in a hybrid format (off-line and on-line).
