The production combined the Soviet film "Office Romance" and the American film "The Devil Wears Prada." Both of these stories tell in their own way about human characters, career ambitions and the price of success in the fashion industry.

Anatoly Yefremovich Novoseltsev, a single father of two children who works as a journalist, learns from Alexander's colleague that there is a vacancy for the editor-in-chief at the Modnaya Pravda publishing house. He advises his colleague Tolya to apply for a promotion to his sister, as they call their strict boss Lyudmila Prokofievna behind her back, although unlike her movie prototype, she dresses in accordance with fashion. Also, the staff of the publishing house consider her the devil in a skirt for the authoritarian style of management of the publishing house.

A new collection is expected to be shown soon. Lyudmila Prokofievna expects great success. She appoints Novoseltsev to oversee this project.

He meets his friend Tanya Samokhvalova, who asks him to find her a place in a publishing house. Novoseltsev promises nothing, fearing that Tanya herself may take the position of editor-in-chief.

The boss is unhappy with Novoseltsev's work and even threatens to dismiss him from the leadership of the project.

Meanwhile, Tatiana goes to an appointment with Lyudmila Prokofievna, where she talks about her achievements in the development of the fashion industry abroad. She promises Lyudmila Prokofievna that she will be able to ensure that Modnaya Pravda gets on the front page of the country's main newspaper, Pravda, and offers her candidacy for the position of editor–in-chief.

One of the most emotional scenes of the play was a business conversation between Novoseltsev and Lyudmila Prokofievna, where the boss suddenly removes the mask of arrogance and for a moment shows her vulnerable and tender soul of a single woman. After this conversation, the timid Novoseltsev decides to declare his feelings more decisively and secretly leaves a bouquet of flowers in her office.

Tatiana Samokhvalova takes up her duties as editor-in-chief, without giving up trying to get information about the latest collection from Vera's secretary of the publishing house. Vera says that according to rumors, the light industry has shown new materials that are not even available in foreign countries.

The production culminated in the long-awaited fashion show, during which dramatic events take place, in which the new editor Tatiana plays a key role. However, unexpectedly, the result of the show exceeds all expectations: the collection of "Modnaya Pravda" is waiting for a stunning success, which connected the destinies of Novoseltsev and Lyudmila Prokofievna. After all, sincere feelings can overcome any social barriers and internal prejudices.

Recognizable musical compositions from Soviet films, emotional acting, modern choreography with acrobatic elements and an unforgettable catwalk show in the rays of bright spotlights give the production originality and entertainment.
