The event brought together the best volleyball players of the student teams of the region, coaches and honored guests.

 The student volleyball League was held among men's and women's teams of educational institutions of higher and professional education. The project is being implemented within the framework of the socially significant social project "Don — sporty. Don — Studencheskiy", which became the winner of the grant competition of the Governor of the Rostov Region for the development of civil society in 2025 with the support of the Agency for the Development of Civil Initiatives of the Rostov Region.

The ceremony brought together heads of educational organizations, coaches, athletes and officials. Welcoming words were addressed to the participants:

 Sergey Revenko, head of the project "Don-sporty. Don-Studentskiy", Head of the Sports Development Department of SFedU;

Yakov Aslanov, Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Youth Programs at Southern Federal University;

Dmitry Dzhedirov, Chairman of the Rostov regional branch of the All-Russian Public Organization "Russian Student Sports Union";

Maxim Vasilenko, Director of the Autonomous Non-Governmental Organization Agency for the Development of Civil Initiatives of the Rostov Region;

Alexey Accusantsev, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Rostov Region.

Achievements of SFedU athletes

 At the end of the season, the students of the Southern Federal University showed excellent results, winning medals and individual awards.

 III place in the men's division was won by the team of the SFedU Engineering and Technology Academy.

 II place in the men's division was taken by the national team of the Southern Federal University.

 I place in the women's division — the Southern Federal University team became the league champion
