On February 25, Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, in his annual report to the State Duma, named Southern Federal University among the country's leading universities successfully implementing the Priority 2030 program for strategic academic leadership.
In his report, the Prime Minister gave specific examples of demanded developments created in close cooperation with industrial partners.
"Universities of the Priority 2030 program are also cooperating with customer companies,— Mikhail Mishustin emphasized, – Southern Federal University has offered a comprehensive artificial intelligence platform and services for predicting and monitoring soil conditions."
The strategic project of the Southern Federal University "Technologies of Soil Bioengineering", implemented within the framework of Priority 2030, was highly appreciated at the federal level. The developed artificial intelligence-based platform is designed to solve key tasks in the field of rational use of natural resources, restoration of degraded lands and increase yields, which directly meets the objectives of ensuring food security and technological sovereignty of the country.
Along with the achievements of SFedU scientists, the Prime Minister also noted the developments of colleagues from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in the field of unmanned aircraft systems and communications, as well as biomaterials for regenerative surgery created at Bashkir State Medical University and put into mass production.
