The event was held as part of the anniversary events dedicated to the 220th anniversary of the founding of the University and the Year of Scientific and Technological Development of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The finalists of the competition included Societies from 9 federal universities of Russia. The Society "New Materials for electrochemical Energy", the SKB "KIT" and the Society of political Scientists passed from the Southern Federal University to the full-time stage. The face-to-face stage of the competition consisted in defending presentations on the activities of each of the Societies.

Our Societies won prizes in all categories:

I place in the direction of Engineering and Technical Sciences — SKB KIT

II place in the direction of "Natural Sciences" — SSS "New materials for electrochemical energy"

II place in the direction of "Social and Humanitarian Sciences" — the National Academy of Political Scientists.
