The forum "Techpred 2024" is being held in Moscow in the Lomonosov cluster on November 11-12. The program of the event focuses on the role of universities in creating a global ecosystem of innovations in the Russian Federation. The rector of the Southern Federal University told about this at the plenary discussion of the forum.
The forum is attended by representatives of government, business, universities, as well as investors and technology entrepreneurs. In two days, more than 30 sessions with the participation of over 100 speakers, master classes, business meetings, presentations of the best startups will be held.
The plenary session of the forum was devoted to the topic "Designing the future: the role of universities in a high-tech economy".
Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, spoke about the Federal project "Platform for University Technological Entrepreneurship", which was launched in 2022 to unlock the entrepreneurial potential of young people and train professionals in the field of technological entrepreneurship.
"The project is one of 42 social and economic initiatives implemented by the government. Technological entrepreneurs are a special type of people, so our task is to save this project by 2030, without departing from the principles originally laid down and consistently implementing it," Valery Falkov said.
Rectors of universities that have become centers of competence formation for technological development shared their experience in implementing projects related to the development of technological entrepreneurship.
Rector of the Southern Federal University Inna Shevchenko spoke about the implementation of the initiatives of the "University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform" at the university: trainings, accelerators, entrepreneurial boiling point, startup studio. SFedU is among the six universities of the Russian Federation that implement all the grants of the Platform.
The rector also stressed the connection with other major federal projects: Priority 2030 and Advanced Engineering schools, where Priority 2030 sets the logic of institutional changes: the educational process or approaches to organizing research, and the logic of working with partners.
Alexey Poddubsky, head of the startup studio at SFedU, told about the technological enterprises created by the students, which became residents of the startup studio, found big investors there and are already generating multimillion-dollar revenues.
In 2022-2024, the federal project "Platform of University Technological Entrepreneurship" covered 78 Russian regions, 427 universities across the country joined it, and over 600 thousand people became its participants. The total volume of attracted private investments amounted to more than 1.3 billion rubles. The exposition of the III All-Russian Forum of Technological Entrepreneurship of the forum featured developments from technological entrepreneurs from different regions of Russia.
