The main goal of the Festival is always to popularize science and involve schoolchildren in it. The task for the staff, graduate students and students of the SFedU was to reflect the increased role of science and technology in the development of our country, the importance of scientific traditions and innovations, the importance of the methodology of scientific research in the process of achieving truth.

The exhibition program includes a poster presentation of scientific, experimental design, engineering, technical and technological developments of the structural divisions of the Southern Federal University, as well as partners of the Southern Federal University, which include leading universities in the South of Russia, industrial and manufacturing companies, scientific associations, etc. 

This year, the list of participants in the exhibition area of the Festival included more than 16 universities and scientific and educational institutions in the South of Russia, including the Southern Federal University, Rostov State University of Railways, the Russian Customs Academy (Rostov branch), the South Russian State Polytechnic University (NPI) named after M.I. Platov, Don State Technical University, Southern University of IUBiP, North Caucasus Branch of the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics, Maikop State Technological University, National Medical Research Center of Oncology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, North Caucasus Federal University, Lugansk St. Luke State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Resource Educational and Methodological Center for the education of people with disabilities and persons with disabilities of the Southern Federal University, Rostov-on-Don branch of the S.A. Gerasimov All-Russian University of Cinematography, Rostov State University of Economics (RINH).  In addition, the exhibition presented the sites of such enterprises as PJSC CB "Center-invest", G.M. Beriev TANTK; Axenix (Aksenix); JSC scientific and production company "PANH"; Rostov Helicopter Production Complex Public Joint Stock Company "Rostvertol" named after B.N. Slyusar.  Each of the participants has prepared interesting events for the guests of the festival of different ages.

Thus, the Russian Customs Academy demonstrates interactive VR simulators developed within the framework of R&D to the guests of the festival, the Rostov-on-Don branch of the VGIK offers everyone to check their artistic data, as well as to undergo a mini-casting for one of the roles in the play.

One of the rich programs was prepared by the Rostov State University of Economics (RINH), about 18 different events: from master classes, quizzes and scientific and educational flash mobs to interactive exhibitions.

Students and staff of MSTU presented to all guests of the festival the Immunomodulating soft drink "Immunetic" from primary and secondary plant raw materials, DSTU taught in the format of the game "StartupSraft" to build a successful startup project.

Also, the largest industrial enterprises of the Don, scientific centers and IT companies have prepared a large and rich program for the guests of the festival. Representatives of PJSC Rostvertol named after B.N. Slyusar told about modern engineering professions Rostvertol City of Professions, Beriev TANTK presented its new developments and capabilities of modern engineering. The Axenix company held quizzes, business games with prize draws, the National Medical Research Center of Oncology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation presented scientific developments in the field of early detection of malignant diseases at the stand.

The exposition of the festival was divided into four blocks: Financial Avenue, Engineering Square, Natural Science Park, Social and Humanitarian Alley. All the participants of the exhibition were distributed among these locations.

Thus, the Institute of Radio Engineering Systems and Management of the Southern Federal University presented its exposition on Engineering Square.

"We brought quite a lot of exhibits from Taganrog: an agricultural drone, a laboratory stand for studying the Internet of things. A robot machine has been developed specifically for the engineering school to study modern robotics. This complex was completely created by us.

The stand "Automated warehouse" presented by us can be mounted both in large warehouses of logistics and wholesale companies, and built into compact premises with an area of several tens of square meters. The hardware and software complex replaces a large number of warehouse employees, allows you to save space, speeds up warehouse operations," said Alexander Oleynikov, a graduate student at the Institute of Radio Engineering Systems and Management.

And the Institute of History and International Relations of the Southern Federal University is located on the Socio-Humanitarian Alley.

"My friend and I from the Slavyanskaya Druzhina Historical Reconstruction Club of the Institute of History and International Relations, reconstruct the way of life and military affairs of people of the past. Our club presents a small exhibition of military equipment at the festival: both defensive and offensive. We also conduct quizzes on Cossacks for the guests, everyone can draw Scythian tattoos on the plaques," said Ivan Andriyanov, a 2nd–year student, who lured the festival participants in the costume of a Western European nobleman of the second half of the XI century.

Various quizzes, quizzes and quizzes on financial topics were held for the guests of the festival on Financial Avenue.

The exhibition of insects of the Academy of Biology and Biotechnology of the Southern Federal University especially attracted the youngest visitors of the festival in the Natural Science Park. The children took great pleasure in examining large and bright butterflies and beetles, asking various questions to zoologists. Also, the demonstration of chemical experiments was particularly popular among schoolchildren, which was shown as part of their exposition by students of the M.I. Platov South Russian State Polytechnic University (NPI).

The guests of the festival: students, schoolchildren, kindergarten students and their parents — thanks to the science festival, they were able to see how multifaceted and interesting the world of domestic science is, get acquainted with unique products, innovative developments, modern technologies that are developing in our country, ask questions to scientists, representatives of companies and universities.
