The parties agreed to start collaboration aimed at the development of cooperation in the scientific area, training of personnel, promotion of the brand, etc.

HUAWEI was represented by Li Kefeng, a President of HUAWEI Consumer Business Group in Russia. The Acting Vice-Rector for Innovation Activities and International Cooperation Evgeny Mukhanov, the Acting Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs Yakov Aslanov, the rector adviser Vyacheslav Semiguk, the heads of the University departments and research centers represented the Southern Federal University.

“The agreement is the first step for us. It defines the framework for interaction between HUAWEI and the Southern Federal University.  We define common intentions to continue cooperation by effective transformation of the agreement of intent into the joint projects, products and solutions. We discuss the long-term cooperation. The first steps under this agreement are scheduled for autumn 2019, within the framework of the Science Festival of the South of Russia.
At the Festival, HUAWEI experts will tell about the prospects of artificial intelligence technology development, 5G networks technology, those areas which are now advanced and demanded”, - Evgeny Mukhanov said.
