A Doctor of Economics Inna Shevchenko was appointed as an Interim Rector of the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education “Southern Federal University” for a period of not more than 1 year by the Order of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation № 20 - 02 - 01/140 dated July 24, 2019.
In 1999, Inna Shevchenko graduated with honors from Taganrog State Radio Engineering University (area of study - “Management”) with a degree of Master of Management.
In 2003, she defended her Candidate's dissertation at the Rostov State University and gained a degree of Candidate of Economics.
In 2008, she took an academic degree of the Associate Professor at the Department of Economics.
In 2010, she was granted a degree of the Doctor of Economics.
From 2004 to 2012, she was a Professor of the Department of Economics.
From 2012 to 2014, she acted as a Dean of the Faculty of Management in Economic and Social Systems at the Engineering and Technology Academy of the Southern Federal University.
From 2014 to 2017, she was a Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovation Activities of the Southern Federal University.
From 2017 to 2018, she acted as a Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and International Cooperation of the Southern Federal University.
On July 25, 2018, Inna Shevchenko was appointed as an Interim Rector of the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education “Southern Federal University”.

Research interests: problems of regional economics and economic growth, problems of management in social and economic systems, problems of balanced development of the industrial sector and issues of industrial economics, innovation management.
