At the beginning of October, Rostov-on-Don hosts the Science Festival of the South of Russia, which SFedU is actively involved in. The festival agenda comprises a broad range of events.
October 1, a number of outdoor public shows and workshops were organized by SFedU students and teachers as part of the festival programme. For example, students of the SFedU Faculty of Physics demonstrated some fascinating physical experiments; representatives of the SFedU Faculty of Geography offered an exciting guided tour of Bolshaya Sadovaya Street. The events were enthusiastically greeted by both children and adults.
October 4, a press conference was held at the Interfax News Agency where SFedU Rector V.G. Zakharevitch, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center-Invest Bank V.V. Vysokov, and Head of the Festival Management S.V. Ponomareva talked on the festival events that will take place on October 8-9 at VertolExpo Congress and Exhibition Center. Among other things, these events will include an educational exhibition where about 20 universities of the South of Russia are planning to participate.
