Research interests:

The main scientific results connect with the calculation: 1) the crystal fracture toughness, considerated the dislocation character of the plastic zone at the crack tip, 2) the simulation of microstructure ceramics forming  in the process of preparation, 3) the equilibrium shape of semiconductor film by nanosize toughness on the substrate, 4) the optimal properties of atomic force microscope for the force spectroscopy, 5) the kinetics of biopolimer chain ruptures

Research projects:

Three postgraduates аспирантов Rostov state university defend their thesis under my guidance by speciality "Mechanics of deformable solids"(MDS). I was a supervisor Gratnts RFFI (1995-1997, 2003-2006,2007-2009). I am a fellow of Dissertation council Д212.208.06 at SFY by speciality МDS.

Teaching:

  • Stability and control of movement
Students of the forth year baccalaureate (orientation "Mechanics and mathematical simulation") acquire knowledge about the mathematical arrangement of the stability problems by A.M.Lyapunov and skills their solutions.
  • Fracture mechanics
The first year competitors for master's degree (orientation "Mechanics and mathematical simulation")acquire knowledge about strength of solids by action mechanical load and realize calculations for the prediction of the fracture conditions. It is accomplished the single laboratory work on the fracture mechanics.
  • Modeling of advanced material
The first year competitors for master's degree (orientation "Mechanics and mathematical simulation")acquire knowledge about: 1) "quantum dots and wires" in the surface and in the bulk of solids, 2)shape memory alloys, 3) materials with the negative Poisson ratio, 4)the structures and polymer characteristics.
  • Analysis and synthesis of optimal constructions
The first year competitors for master's degree (orientation "Mechanics and mathematical simulation")acquire knowledge about: 1)determination the shape of beam section for given volume and load distribution corresponded the minimal flexure, 2)determination the shape of beam section for given volume corresponded the maximal critical compression load (buckling), 3)determination the shape of beam construction(truss)for given beam volume and the limitation on the beam tension strength corresponded minimal flexure.
  • Modelling in modern mechanics
The second year competitors for master's degree (orientation "Mechanics and mathematical simulation")acquire knowledge about: 1)peridynamics, 2)optomechanics, 3)mechanics of biomolecule and living cells,4)mechanics of granular materials.
  • Stochastic process in mechanics
The second year competitors for master's degree (orientation "Mechanics and mathematical simulation")acquire knowledge about: 1)process
