Research interests:

Sergey Rodzin research interest is computational intelligence with applications to optimization, data mining, designing fault-tolerant systems, and software engineering.

He is (co-)author of over 300 publications, including more than 100 journal papers, 20 monographs and 15 edited books.

He was be speaker for 30 international conferences.

He is a member of the Russian Association for Artificial Intelligence and member of the Russian Association of fuzzy systems and soft computing.

Winner of the Southern Federal University for the best research work of the teacher (2009).

Research projects:

Head of grants of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research and the keynote performer grants the Russian Science Foundation, as well as a number of research works and projects of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

He was awarded the distinction of "Honorary Worker of the Russian Federation of higher education", honorary diploma of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation "For the development of scientific-research work of students."

Recognized as the best lecturer of Taganrog University of Radio Engineering (2004).

Winner of the Southern Federal University for the best training-methodical work (2010)

  • Decision Theory
    Decision making problem, decision making in antagonist and conflict situations, statistic approach to decision making, measurements while decision making, preference functions and utility functions, risk estimation in conditions of vague input information, pareto-optimal decision, methods of expert information processing, expert systems of decision making support.
  • Systems of Artificial Intelligence
    Turing test, properties of knowledge. Models of knowledge representation. Resolution method, the operative inference algorithm in propositional logic, predicate 1-order. Plausible output methods. Heuristic programming. Judgments and reasoning. Technology knowledge engineering. Hypertext, multi-agent systems and ontological. Systems and methods of pattern recognition, data mining. Advanced intelligent systems and technologies.
