Sports tourism (ST) is a sport consisting of two groups of sports disciplines: - group disciplines "route", the competition which consists in the passage of the sports tourism routes, breaking the categorized obstacles in the environment (passes, peaks, rapids, canyons, caves, etc.); - a group of disciplines "distance", the competition which consist in the overcoming of distances, laid in the natural environment and on artificial relief.
