Martini Andrea
The Smart Materials Research Institute
Mr. Andrea Martini has a strong background in physics and materials science and a consolidated experience on the use of X-ray spectroscopy devoted to the characterization of various classes families of nano-structured materials. Now, his research activity is focused on the development of a novel set of techniques for the data analysis of X-ray absorption spectra acquired during in situ and operando conditions. In Turin, together with Dr. Elisa Borfecchia (University of Turin) he employs synchrotron based XAS and XES spectroscopies in order to unveil the local structure and the electronic properties of determined transition metal centers in heterogeneous catalysis.
