Academic calendar

The academic year at SFedU runs from the 1st of September to the 30th of May.

The winter exam period is in January and the summer exam period starts in June.

During the first week of November and April, students normally participate in the SFedU Academic Mobility Week. The Academic Mobility Week offers students intensive courses across different subjects instead of regular classes enabling them to immerse themselves in a completely new academic field while still earning ECTS credits. Student internships are available during the summer and start mainly at the beginning of July.

Russian students have holidays throughout the year, including 2 weeks in February and summer breaks in July and August.

A typical university lecture is 90 minutes long (2 academic hours for 45 minutes each) that includes a 5-minute break. Usually university lectures start at 8 am.
