An important page in the development of scientific relations remains the holding of Russian-Chinese conferences on Numerical Algebra and Applications (China-Russia Conference on Numerical Algebra with Applications – CRCNAA) since 2012. Conferences are held annually at universities and research centers in China and Russia.

This year, the XII Russian-Chinese Conference on Computational Algebra and Applications (CRCNAA 2026) was held in Krasnoyarsk from July 5 to 12.

The CRCNAA 2026 conference was organized jointly by the I.I. Vorovich Institute of Mathematics, Mechanics and Computer Science of the Southern Federal University, the Institute of Mathematics and Fundamental Informatics of the Siberian Federal University, the Institute of Computational Modeling of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences with the participation of the Institute of Computational Mathematics and Scientific and Technical Computing of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

At the opening of the conference, participants were greeted by Mikhail Karyakin, Director of the SFedU I.I. Vorovich Institute of Mathematics, Mechanics and Computer Sciences, and Olga Cherepanova, Director of the Institute of Mathematics and Fundamental Computer Science at SibFU.

From the Russian side, the conference was attended by the Director of the Institute of Computational Modeling of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor V.V. Shaidurov, Director of the I.I. Vorovich Institute of Mathematics, Mechanics and Computer Sciences of the Southern Federal University, Professor M.I. Karyakin, Professors of the Southern Federal University A.V. Nasedkin, V.G. Tsybulin, V.N. Govorukhin, G.V. Muratova. Associate Professor of SFedU Y. M. Demyanenko presented two reports at the conference together with her students Mikhail M. Karyakin and Maxim Vavilkin. The report of SFedU Associate Professor P.A. Zelenchuk aroused great interest. The conference was attended by Jiaolong Liu, a Chinese graduate student from SFedU, who made a breakout report and helped the Chinese participants as an interpreter.

In addition, scientific reports were presented by a world-renowned scientist, one of the leading experts in the field of computational algebra, Professor at the Institute of Computational Mathematics and Scientific and Technical Computing of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Honorary Doctor of SFedU Zhong-Zhi Bai, professors from Beijing, Shanghai and other scientific centers of China.

The conference participants discussed modern problems in the field of computational algebra, mathematical modeling, various applied problems of physics, mathematics and mechanics, and identified areas for further development of scientific cooperation.

The conference participants noted the high level of the reports presented, the excellent organization of the conference, and expressed their sincere gratitude to all members of the organizing committee, noting the special contribution of Professor V.V. Shaidurov to the successful holding of the conference.

The holding of the CRCNAA 2026 conference at SFedU gave a new impetus to the development of scientific ties between two federal universities – SFedU and SFU and other scientific centers in Russia, and also contributed to the development of international cooperation with Chinese scientists.
