The event was attended by heads of educational organizations in the South of Russia, historical territories, as well as invited experts from the banking sector and public organizations.

Marina Borovskaya, President of the SFedU, and Besarion Meskhi, Chairman of the Council of Rectors of Universities of the Rostov Region, Rector of the Don State Technical University, addressed the participants of the expanded meeting with a welcoming speech.

The report "University as an economic system: from rationing to improving labor productivity and managing results" was delivered by the President of SFedU Marina Alexandrovna. During the presentation, the issues of the effectiveness of universities as economic systems were considered, key challenges were identified and approaches to increasing labor productivity through optimizing organizational processes, digitalizing management and implementing the principles of results economics were presented.

Another topic of the meeting was the development of endowment funds in the field of education and science. The participants discussed the regulatory framework, the dynamics of their development in Russia and the impact on the indicators of the Priority 2030 program and the rating of financial management. Special attention was paid to the development of endowment funds in the South of Russia, where about 8% of their total number is concentrated. In addition, they discussed the activities of the scientific research laboratory, the center for methodological and consulting support, established on the basis of the SFedU.

In addition, the focus was on the issues of university cooperation with employers to achieve the goals of national technological leadership projects, as well as mechanisms of public-private partnership in vocational education. The specifics of the transition to a new model of higher education, the current state of the agro-industrial complex of the Rostov region and the prospects for scientific cooperation with the Republic of Belarus were discussed separately.

Steps were also outlined to improve the management of universities, develop cooperation with business and government agencies, as well as introduce new models of financing and partnership in the region's higher education system.

Following the meeting, all participants were congratulated on the end of the academic year and wished a successful start to the admission campaign.
