15 leading Russian universities participated in the large-scale project, which covered five provinces of China. The route passed through Beijing, Baotou, Xi'an, Luoyang and Chengdu – in each of these cities there were exhibition grounds based on local educational organizations. The Southern Federal University was represented by Anna Dmitrova, Director of the Institute of Philology, Journalism and Intercultural Communication, and Margarita Yereshchenko, Head of the Russian School project.

The exhibition started in Beijing, where the Russian Cultural Center hosted the "Day of Russian Universities": all 15 universities presented their programs to applicants and representatives of recruiting companies. Participants could collect university seals in the "passport of the future entrant" and take memorable photos in thematic areas. Already in the next stages, the focus shifted to live work with the target audience.

In Baotou, the exhibition unfolded at the Railway Vocational Technical Institute: the first day was dedicated to schoolchildren (more than 200 participants gathered), the second to business negotiations with school principals and representatives of the city Department of Education, where joint programs, recognition of diplomas and scholarship support were discussed.

In Xi'an, the delegation worked at two venues: at the Xi'an University of Finance and Economics for students (presentations, free communication), and then at the Lugan Secondary School for schoolchildren. The total coverage of the Xi'an audience exceeded 300 people.

Luoyang hosted the exhibition at the Open University (schoolchildren and school principals), and then at Henan University of Technology, where negotiations were held with representatives of universities in the province and an exhibition for students.

The final stage in Chengdu included work at Tianli High School (schoolchildren and parents) and at the Chinese University of Electronic Sciences and Technology, where joint presentations of five (including SFedU) Russian and five Chinese universities, an exhibition session for students, schoolchildren, parents and recruiters, a tour of the campus and a gala- closing.

Over the course of ten days, the exhibition combined three key functions – the presentation of educational opportunities, career guidance and interuniversity dialogue. Representatives of SFedU held a series of negotiations with the leadership of Chinese educational organizations, presented bachelor's and master's degree programs in detail, answered questions about admission and scholarships, and discussed the prospects for academic exchanges.

Participation in the traveling exhibition allowed Southern Federal University not only to strengthen its position in the Chinese educational market, but also to significantly expand its network of partners in five provinces, laying the foundation for long-term targeted cooperation.
