The conference, founded in 2016 on the initiative of Professor I.V. Pavlov and under the leadership of the organizing committee headed by Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences A.N.Shiryaev, traditionally unites leading experts in the field of probability theory, mathematical statistics and their applications.

Since 2023, the SFedU Regional Scientific and Educational Mathematical Center has been co-organizing the conference along with the Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Lomonosov Moscow State University, I.I. Vorovich Institute of Mathematics, Mechanics and Computer Sciences of SFedU, Don State Technical University, the National Committee of the Bernoulli Society for Mathematical Statistics, probability theory, combinatorics and their applications, by the AI Institute.

In 2026, the authors of more than 100 reports from Russia, Portugal, Tajikistan and Japan participated in the ICSM-11. Staff and students from more than 30 leading scientific and educational centers, including MIAN, MSU, St. Petersburg State University, HSE, Skoltech, MIPT, Tomsk and Voronezh State Universities, presented their research. Scientists A.N. Karapetyants and V.V. Kravchenko spoke at the conference on behalf of the SFedU Scientific Research Center. During the work of the sections, there was an active discussion of various topics, including the application of partial differential equations in stochastic analysis.

The Summer School "Stochastic Methods and Artificial Intelligence — 2026" was also held as part of the conference. It was actively attended by students of the 1st year of the SFedU Institute of Mathematics, Mechanics and Computer Science, who are studying at the training program for top specialists in the field of AI. For young researchers, the school has become a unique opportunity to learn from leading experts and immerse themselves in the mathematical foundations of modern technology.
