Computational and Theoretical Astrophysics
• Evolution of protostellar and protoplanetary disks, disk gravitational instability and fragmentation,
detectability of gravitational instability signatures with modern (sub)-mm interferometers
• Variable protostellar accretion with episodic bursts, its effect on the evolution of stars and
circumstellar disks, accretion history in young stellar objects
• Formation of giant planets and brown dwarfs via disk gravitational fragmentation
• Evolution and properties of young accreting stars
• Galactic dynamics, spiral structure, the evolution of dwarf galaxies
• Numerical hydrodynamics, development of new numerical codes and techniques, high-performance
