Fields of interest: ethnolinguistics; folkloristics; ethnology; visual anthropology; interdisciplinary studies; Cossack studies.

Fieldwork: Don Cossacks (2001–2011, Rostov and Volgograd Regions); Southern Russian Old Believers (2007, Krasnodar Region); Nekrasov’s Cossacks (2007, 2010–2012, Krasnodar and Stavropol Regions); Kalmyks (2010, The Republic of Kalmykia); Don Ukrainians (2011–2012, Rostov Region).
