Teaching:

  • Theory and practice of academic writing for international journals
    The course is intended to do the practice of professional and pedagogical communication easier and more accessible to every student. The syllabus of the course stimulates the development of individual writing skills through a number of themes from understanding the reasons of academic writing and targeting a journal to writing in very specific journal genres such as essay and review. Foreign academic writing schools will be in focus within this course.
  • Development trends in academic educational research
    The course provides a broad overview of the research and development (R&D) phenomena in relation to education in a broad international perspective. It focuses on the history, theory and practices of academic educational research and modern trends of its development at present. The syllabus also contains several topics highly stimulating the development of academic educational research worldwide, i.e. lifelong learning and education for sustainable development.
  • Methodological issues of comparative educational research
    The course will show that education has a right not only for pure theorizing but also for reasoning its research outcomes with the help of a wide range of methods able to be involved at different stages of educational research. The topics of the course will cover the issues connected with the peculiarities of the context of academic research and its planning, strategies of data collection, research and analysis. Separately will be discussed research methods used in international comparative research studies such as benchmarking, content analysis and simultaneous comparison through the usage of juxtaposition.
