The Big Data Analysis Festival was held for the first time in the framework of the 2nd Open Russian Statistical Congress at the Rostov State University of Economics on December 4-5.
Students and employees of the Information and Analytical Security Systems Department of the Institute of Computer Technologies and Information Security attended the festival.
Hackathon participants analyzed the statistical bodies of data of the Central Bank of Russia.
The jury scored the project of 4th year students Roman Tokarev and Dmitry Skachkov. They developed a mobile application for dynamic visualization and interpretation of statistical data based on self-organizing maps.
The third place and 50 thousand rubles was won by a team of a master's program “Information-Analytical Systems and Technologies of Big Data”. Yelizaveta Podoplelova, Vasily Datenko and Mikhail Georgi developed a regression analysis application in Python. Team leader - assistant Stanislav Alkhasov.
