Aram Bugaev, graduate student of the Physics Department and the Junior Researcher MIC "Smart Materials" won the prize of the European synchrotron ESRF center for the best poster presented at the Annual Conference of the ESRF User Meeting, held in Grenoble on 6-8 February.

This year the competition was attended by more than 100 young scientists, 20 of which were selected for short presentations at the plenary session of the conference.  In the report Aram Bugaev presented the results of studies of the structure of the "core-shell" in nanoparticles of palladium. A study on this subject was conducted by Aram Bugaev together with colleagues "Smart Materials" Center, as well as with the University of Turin and the Graduate School of Technology of Zurich. Over the past two years, SFedU scientists have repeatedly received the support of the European synchrotron ESRF center for carrying out experimental research.
