Director of the Institute Gennady Veselov and Deputy Director for Scientific and International Activities of the Institute Alexey Samoilov told the guests about the history and structure of the Institute, the main areas of research, the project activity, as well as about the interaction of the Institute with the real sector of the economy.

Cuban colleagues visited research laboratories and centers, including the Laboratory of Advanced Computer Technologies and the Russian-Cuban Research Center which were opened as a part of the visit of Miriam Nicado Garcia, Rector of the University of Computer Sciences (Cuba), to the Southern Federal University in October.  The Cuban delegation also visited infrastructure facilities of the Institute of Computer Technologies and Information Security: classrooms with modern equipment, a meeting hall of the Academic Council, a sports hall, a student canteen. 

During the visit, issues of mutual cooperation in the implementation of research projects, academic mobility, joint publications were discussed.
