On November 20, the football team of the Southern Federal University won the final tournament of the All-Russian Student Football Competition 2018, which was held in Krymsk.
On the final match day, the teams were divided into the following pairs: a team of PGAFKSIT (Kazan) and a team of SibGUFK (Omsk) played on the first pitch; a team of NSU named after Lesgaft (St. Petersburg) and a team of SFedU (Rostov-on-Don) played on the second pitch. All teams had chances to get gold medals before the final game.
The team of SFedU took the first place and became the winner of the national division of the All-Russian competitions among the teams of educational institutions of higher education 2018.
The SFedU team gained the right to represent Russia at the European Student Championship in July in Madrid.
