Before the meeting, Interim Rector of the Southern Federal University Inna Shevchenko congratulated students and teachers on their victories in the international review competition of the best graduate works in architecture, design and art, which took place from September 23 to 29 in Volgograd. 55 leading architectural and art universities of the country became participants and more than 680 works in 14 nominations were submitted for the competition.

The Southern Federal University submitted 46 graduate works for the competition - 25 undergraduate and 21 master's papers. All of them were awarded.

"This competition is very significant and prestigious. Our students annually get a large number of prizes. Teachers do serious work for students to achieve such results," - said Natalia Chemerisova, director of the Academy of Architecture and Fine Arts.

The Directorate of the 9th Science Festival of the South of Russia, which was held on October 20-21 in the Rostov-Arena stadium, was awarded with letters of thanks. In the report devoted to the results of the festival, Yakov Aslanov , Acting Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs, noted that over 21,000 guests attended the festival in two days.  70 interactive exhibition modules presented at the festival were thematically divided into 9 major NTI markets: AeroNet, AutoNet, EnergyNet, FinNet, FoodNet, HealthNet, MariNet, NeuroNet, SafeNet.

Further, Andrei Kuznetsov, a head of   Institute for Earth Sciences,  told about Russian-French round table "Ecology. Tourism. Science and culture: interaction space” which took place in Paris. He noted that during the visit of SFedU representatives to France, a cooperation agreement was signed between the University of Nantes and SFedU. 

Then Evgeny Mukhanov, an Acting Vice-Rector for Innovation Activities and International Cooperation, delivered a speech. He spoke about a field audit made by the Federal Service for Intellectual Property.
